Chris John satisfied to win in United States of America

Jakarta – Indonesia`s national battler Chris John said he was fulfilled to have beaten Rocky Juarez in Las Vegas, the US, last Saturday and Juarez therefore will no longer be entitled to fight for the WBA feather weight crown.

And Chris John`s fight this time has a special significance, because it was the first time that he managed to defend the title in the United States of America, although the fight against Juarez was not his first, because they fought in Houston, the US, on February 28, 2009, which over in a draw.

Actually, the two were scheduled to fight on June 27, but it was cancelled because the Indonesian fighter fell ill.

And in the fight in Las Vegas last week, Chris John won on points.

“Yesterday`s fight was quite difficult. Juarez appeared to try his hardest to win, because it was his last chance,” Chris John said upon arrival in Jakarta Wednesday.

However, this time he previous fights were different from last week`s, because this time his wife, Anna Maria Megawati, witnessed her husband fight. And rumours also had it that his wife`s presence was a sign that he would lose. But it turned out otherwise.

“Meda`s presence was a great help to me. At least she met everything that I needed. I was much calmer,” Chris John added.
