Group Champion, Indonesia Meets Thailand

Indonesian Thomas Cup team successful reign as champion Group A thanks to the Asian zone qualifying victory over Vietnam. In the quarterfinals, Taufik Hidayat et al will challenge Thailand.
In the field 3 Nakhon Ratchasima Sport Complex, Nakon Ratchasima, Wednesday (24/2/2010), Indonesia managed to sweep five parties with a victory against Vietnam.
Scoring was opened by the first single, Taufik Hidayat. Faced Tien Minh Nguyen, Taufik takes 31 minutes to win straight sets, 21-15 21-11.
Sony Dwi Kuncoro who assumed duties as the second single to be Indonesia widens 2-0 advantage thanks to the victory over Nguyen Hoang Nam. Within 25 minutes, Sony won 21-12, 21-15.
Simon Santoso, decided Indonesia’s victory by conquering Huynh Vinh 21-6 21-8 in 17 minutes in the third single party. Indonesia was determined to win 2-0.
Although no longer decisive, men’s doubles Markis Kido / Alvent Yulianto Chandra did not waste a lot of time to beat Duong Bao Duc / Pham Cao Hieu with a score of 21-13 in 21-13 minutes 19.
In the final party, a second double Rian Sukmawan / Yonathan Suryatama managed to overcome resistance Nam Nguyen Hoang / Huynh Vinh in a short game for 14 minutes, 21-6 21-16.
These results make Indonesia eligible for the top Group A with two wins from two matches. In the quarterfinals which will be held Thursday (25 / 2) tomorrow, Taufik et al will face Thailand.
