Lewis Hamilton is a racer who had never felt a single track with Michael Schumacher. Having tasted the test, Hamilton was faced Schumi is different.

Hamilton jumped into F1 in 2007, the first year without the presence of F1 Schumacher who retired at the end of the 2006 season. This means that British drivers had never felt the sensation of fighting with Schumacher in the race.

Last week, Hamilton was the opportunity to experience the same track with the seven times world champion was on the test in Barcelona circuit. Hamilton admitted that it made him excited.

“That was fun. I’m lingering in the track and was in my last Stint. At that moment, I’m chasing Schumacher,” I Hamilton told Autosport.

Although only in the test, Hamilton tried to duplicate the sensation to be in one track with Schumi by trying to catch up. Thus, 25-year driver drove a Mercedes car near Schumi’s McLaren.

“I can be approached from within in one corner. I think he also liked it. But there are differences in record time considering the weight of car fuel and my car is lighter,” Hamilton explained.

“It’s unique and special, see Michael Schumacher was in front of me and I knew it was him! It was different with the drivers behind the other. He seven times world champion, he’s a legend!” 2008 world champion said it.

Implicitly, Hamilton admitted that he had nothing compared to Schumi. Although now 41 years old, Schumi still earn special respect from Hamilton.

“You are a legend if he could win seven world titles. One or two (titles)? No wonder respected. But seven? Legendary! You see him and say, that’s great,” said Hamilton.
