NBA All Star 2010 is being risked of losing one of its biggest magnets, Kobe Bryant. Los Angeles Lakers forward is still struggling with injury and was not sure that he could perform.

Kobe is the second favorite player in the All Star 2010 polling under LeBron James that had not been playing in the last two Lakers matches for ankle injury in his left leg.
“If I can not play, then I would not play. But if I’m healthy, I’ll play,” said Kobe about his playing in All Star who will be held this weekend as quoted by AP.

Kobe can not defend Lakers when they were visiting the Portland Trailblazers, Saturday (6/2/2010) and when they were against the San Antonio Spurs, Monday (8 / 2). The Lakers are lucky because even without Kobe, they were able to win the two matches.

“I coud not move, could not play,” Bryant complained. About his play when the Lakers meet the Utah Jazz on Wednesday (10 / 2), Kobe said, “If I’m ready to play, I’ll play.”

One of the Lakers coaches, Gary Vitti, hopes that Kobe will take a total rest at the All Star Weekend. Kobe admitted could not decide yet and will consider the condition before the match, Sunday (14 / 2).

“I do not know what his condition would be on Sunday. I’m not a fortune-teller,” said 31-year-old player was laughing broadly.

Kobe’s absence in the match against Blazers cut his 235 consecutive games he played. During the last Monday, Kobe was practically staying in the locker room for treatment while his colleagues topple Spurs.

“It was frustrating, I’m not used to doing this. I do not know, what can be done by players here? I did not even know what happened during half time,” said Kobe.
