One month’s rest Andy Murray advanced to the final since the Australian Open. He is now preparing to Dubai Championship tournament with the spirit and confidence high.

After defeated Roger Federer at the Australian Open final, Murray had joined the tournament any more. Murray’s withdrawal from the Marseille tournament organizers even causes anger.

But Murray argued that he needed a break and now he is ready to come back swinging a racket again in the Dubai Championship. In the first round will be held at The Aviation Club Tennis Center, Monday (2/22/2010), Murray will be challenged Igor Kunitsyn.

“This is a tournament where I felt very comfortable. And though years ago I stopped in the quarterfinals, where I was sick and had to retreat, I felt my game here is good,” Murray said, quoted by SkySports.

“We are obliged to play in the four Grand Slams and eight Masters Series 1000. In addition to Queen’s Club in London, Dubai is my favorite event if you could choose,” added the Scottish tennis player.

Murray explained his choice to not follow the post-Australian Open tournament was because he needed a break. The reason is, before entering into the Down Under, he also has defended the British in the Hopman Cup.

“I so have plenty of time to think after Australia and I think a few things in mind. I do not much practice and I spent most of the time to relax and watch football,” said the boy was 22 years.

“After all the exercise I did in December, and then play in the Hopman Cup before the Australian Open, I ThinkI have plenty of rest. Now, I’m ready to compete again,” said Murray.
