Rio Raced in GP3 With Virgin Team

Rio Haryanto has been confirmed to appear at the event GP3 races throughout this 2010 season. Indonesian young drivers also have chosen to join Team Virgin GP3.

After winning the Formula BMW Pacific 2009, Rio tried to tread into the arena of higher races again. GP3 finally chosen by the 17-year-old drivers is to open the way to the F1 career.

Sinyo Haryanto, the father of the Rio, reveals that appeared in GP3 race will make it easier for her career path. So also with the team joined Virgin because they have a team in F1.

“GP3 created a new class Bernie (Ecclestone) road map to the GP 2, to F1 becomes clearer. The Virgin team GP3 one team that has direct links to the Virgin F1 team,” he said in the email to detiksport, Wednesday (25 / 2 / 2010).

Sinyo added that Rio will also join the British F3 in order to increase his flying hours. “Rio will take at least 18 rounds of British F3 round 30 headliner is very prestigious and Taft competition,” he said
