Two-Third World Cup Tickets Sold Out

The selling of World Cup 2010 tickets is increasing by the selling of the two-third of the ticket. The host, South Africa becomes the biggest buyer which is close to the number of one million.

Quoted from the official site FIFA, there are 1.206.865 tickets booked until now which come from 196 countries. That number is the third phase accumulation from the ticket selling session that will be closed in this beginning of February, it’s true that the football authority divided the ticket selling into five periods.

Although it was firstly reported that South Africa was lack of interest but it becomes the country with the largest number of buyer with 958.381 tikcets or about 79 percent. This means 24,9 increased from the previous selling period, because the booked tickets is not dominated by the match of South Africa National Team.

Meanwhile, the United States becomes the participant country which leads this third phase of the ticket selling. The Country of Uncle Sam is recorded booking 50.217 tikcets followed by Britain with 41.529 tickets, Australia with 15.523 tickets, Mexico 14.804 tickets dan Brazil 10.676 tickets.

The good news is also heard in Africa. The ticket selling in the Black Continent which previously reported to be so few is now slightly increasing. Botswana has the largest ticket booking with  2.519 tickets followed by Mozambique 1.795 tickets dan Namibia 1.191 tikcets.

Four hundred thousand tickets will be sold in the next selling period that will be started on February 9th until April 7 h. While beginning from April15th, the tickets selling will only be served in the cities which held the World Cup.
