World Cup 2010, Deco’s Last International Play

The 2010 World Cup which will be held in summer will be special for Deco. He will totally fight to defend Portugal in the most popular international tournament because after that he will resign from the squad.
The Brazilian player who has been defending Portugal since 2003 feels that this is the time for him to resign from the international arena. It could not be separated from Deco’s age which in August this year will be even 33 years old.
I will close my career after the World Cup. Because of my age and I’ve been exhausted. I will say goodbye after the World Cup, “said Deco to Radio Globo as reported by Soccernet.
Deco himself managed to get Portuguese nationality in 2002 after he completed six years of living in the country with fighting for Benfica and Porto. The player who plays as an attacking midfielder has become an important actor of Portugal after the retiring of Luis Figo and Rui Costa.
So far, Deco has appeared to defend Quinas 71 times. He won the golden ball award at the 2006 World Cup and was selected as the best player in Portugal 2004.
